Description

If your Pet Sitter uses Walkies to send you walk, drop-in, daycare, training, grooming, or pet sitting reports then you can download the Walkies Journal app to see all of your pet's activities in one place.

• Open your reports in the app instead of on the website.
• View all of your pet's pictures and videos with ease and download them to your iPhone or iPad in just a couple taps.
• Update your pet's information, such as vet's phone number, and much more so that your pet sitter always has the information they need.
• Update your information, such as your phone number and address.
• Book and keep track of your appointments with your Pet Sitter.
• Instant message your Pet Sitter.
• View all of your invoices in one place and pay them with ease.
• Manage your notification preferences and enable push notifications for all of your pet's activity instead of emails or text messages.

**How it works**
1. Create an account.
2. Link your Journal app to your Pet Sitter's app via a Connect Link that your pet sitter sends you.
3. View all of your pet's activities and information.

It's that simple.

What’s New

Version 2.8.55

ADDED: When making a booking you can pick as many dates as you like and then you will be asked for the times for each of the dates you pick. If your pet sitter has availability checking turned off you'll only need to select times once and it will apply to all dates selected.
FIXED: Pricing totals are now correct for services charged per night or per day.
FIXED: The app could show the incorrect latest activity, now it shows the correct one.
IMPROVED: The app now gets the latest active activity, so if your pet sitter starts a drop in and then goes for a walk you will be shown the walk, once they end the walk you will be shown the drop in again as it is still active.
IMPROVED: Memory management.
IMPROVED: Getting unread updates.

Love it and Love Love Love the customer service

What a great app!! I recently hired a new dog walker and she uses the Walkies app to track my pup’s walk, send me a report and even photos of my pet via a text message URL. It keeps me from having to ask her a million questions because everything is right there. The Journal app now allows me to see all of my pup’s report in one place and even get push, text and/or email notifications when the walk has begun and when the new report is available. But what really sold me on the app was their customer service. When I was struggling to connect my account to my dog walker, I had almost immediate IM support throughout the app. Even as I closed the app and restarted to try and resolve the issue, my help conversation remained. I didn’t have to start all over again. You can tell that these developers are truly passionate about the app they have created and me and my pup are much happier because of it. If I ever have to hire a new dog walker, I’ll be looking for someone who uses this app as well.

Thank you so much for the amazing review!

Best dog walker ever!

Chelsea is so dependable and did everything she said she would do and beyond. It is a rarity to find someone to trust in your home and with our babies but Chelse has earned our trust. Chelsea will be our dog walker into the future as long as she will have us. 5 star service all the way!

Developer Response ,

Hi there! You've actually left an app review and not a pet sitter review but I'll make sure Chelsea gets it. 🙂

Features would be great if they were usable

Users can submit walk requests without filling out required information for the walker such as time and date, leading to near constant mistakes. This is because the UI uses a segmented control for the form, indicating no additional information is necessary (as a segmented control indicates options to a user). When requests are submitted, you can’t view them without knowing to refresh the page. There’s no clear indication as to whether you can have multiple walkers (as if often the case). The features would be awesome if they were usable. Feels like an app built by a developer with little to no design or user input, making it largely unusable.

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your feedback. I think you make a lot of very good points.

After receiving your feedback I have made the appointment booking page just one form, no more segmented control, and it should also show you your requested appointment without having to reload the page.

The app currently only allows you to be connected to one pet sitter / pet siting team as this is by far the majority case but I do want to allow multi pet sitter / team connect in the future but it’s not an easy thing to build.

In the future I also want to add the ability to select a preferred sitter when booking. 🙂

I also made a huge host of other improvements to make the app easier to use and more beautiful.
