The new PNB digital app
Although this will get me thru my banking needs since I am overseas I prefer old school by using the PNB website. Thanks to Globe disconnecting my CP number due to “ no load” thanks pandemic, I requested a CP number change from my PNB bank in order to receive the OTP number so I can complete my on line transactions.
I don’t understand why it’s taking so long to do this simple request and I am surprised there is no way to update my contact/ OTP number from inside the website. The on line website seems to accommodate a password change and it would be so simple to have a way to change personal data such as a contact number.
The website should be the primary venue to conduct PNB banking and the “app” should be available to enhance the on line experience.
I hope PNB IT support is seriously reading these comments from its PNB customers.
Frustrating Experience When Switching Devices
I don't know if the developers of this app think most people buy only one cellphone in their lifetime. Unregistering your old device from the app so you can reinstall it on your new phone is just a painful experience. And that is if everything works right. In my case it didn't so I have to contact customer service numerous times to have my old device unregistered so I can install the app on my new phone. Took them a month to get it right.
And how does an app do not have Forget Password or Reset Password feature on the login screen? Yes, they do have the Reset Password link but only after you are already logged in. I mean how backwards is that. And what banking app does not have a website so users can access their accounts from a desktop. I mean do they think everyone does online banking on their phone only?
I understand banking apps need to be secured to prevent unauthorized access and bad guys stealing your hard-earned money. But there has to be a balance between security and a smooth user experience. This app is just not there yet. They should have released it as beta first to limited users to get feedback before releasing it to the masses. This does not even deserve a 1-star rating. I hope they get it right eventually and I hope they would put their website access back, please. I remember they used to have it before.

So Frustrating!!! 😡😡😡
OMG!! If I could only give zero star to this app, I would!! This app is so stupid! How did this gets approved to be released? I understand that you can only register one device per client, which blows and outdated! Good luck upgrading your device! I unregistered my old phone and deleted the app. I, then, installed the app to my new phone and try to register it and it won’t let me. I tried so many times with no success. I tried to reinstall it to my old phone and, now, it won’t let me. I currently do not have any registered device and I can’t even release funds. I can login to through the website but no feature to transfer funds! This is the reason I opened this account overseas, in the first place, and I can’t even do that. Seriously, the developers and the person who approved to release this needs to go back and understand what clients need. Philippine National Bank couldn’t even support Philippine Nationals overseas bringing in money to the country from overseas. Get with the changing times! Pathetic!
