Very Good Experience
We recently did a 10 day charter in the Caribbean and bought this app after looking at all of the anchor alarm options. Overall, I was very pleased. The app never had a problem, and tracked any movement seach night whether anchored or moored. I was especially pleased with being able to share an anchor session. That way, I could leave my phone on the boat, share the session with my wife, and go ashore with her phone and without worrying about the boat. That function worked flawlessly. The only challenge I had was getting the anchor “dropped” in the right place to start a session. I would have to adjust the location manually after we got the boat settled. Could have been an inexperienced user and not a huge deal, but that was my only challenge. Overall, a great product, that the developer continues to update routinely.
Best Anchor Alarm - Provides Peace Of Mind
I’ve tried other anchor alarm apps that don’t provide the accuracy nor the visibility Hooked provides. I love being able to see near real time visibility of our position (within GPS accuracy of ± 15 feet)! Additionally, we are able to remotely monitor our boat without worry and without significant battery drain. Before using Hooked we never felt comfortable leaving the boat even for short trips. We also felt that we needed to sleep in shifts when winds picked up - which has been often this season! Hooked has given us a peace of mind we needed. It has been invaluable in alleviating stress while at anchor. We absolutely love Hooked!
Best App for Remote Viewing
Finding an anchor app that allowed remote viewing without draining my phone's battery was impossible before this app.
The ability to view it remotely exactly like it is shown locally is key, and the device that's monitoring doesn't have to constantly run the app and drain my battery.
Also, I really love the color gradient on the tracks which shows you the history of where you're track has been.
