Hearth Companion App 4+

Need more

We got this calendar because we are so busy and really needed a solution to help us stay up to date on our schedules. There is so much potential with this app and calendar, but it needs some major updates. I agree with others that there needs to be a location option. I’m also not sure why hearth still hasn’t provided an update allowing email addresses to be added or changed for users after initial profile creation. I don’t want to delete a profile and all associated events and then re-enter them, but the app is useless if my kids don’t have the app on their phones too. This product was costly and I’m paying a monthly subscription fee, but I’m not sure why at this point 🤷🏻‍♀️

Needs a lot of work

After a week with my Hearth, I’m now second-guessing my purchase. I’m surprised to see what seems like core functionality missing from the app and display. It does not sync with Apple Calendar, rather it imports a subscribed calendar. And vice versa. This poses challenges because events cannot be edited in Apple Calendar. One particular frustration is the inability to add an address to an event. It’s taking time to finagle workarounds but it’s not ideal. The kids do like the routines, but adding a point system would be very beneficial. It would be nice to set a start date on a task so it only appears on the board after a specific date. Overall, it’s OK, but unfortunately is very basic with little functionality. I’m finding it difficult to justify the cost when the competition appears to offer far more.

I want to love this app. But I don't.

This app is not user friendly at all. I suppose if you had one child it would be. It's easier to stand at your calendar and input the information in or log in online and do it there. Adding new to/do's for multiple children takes so much time. Have the time it glitches and doesn't work at all. I would love to be able to lay in bed and plan the next day, but I waste so much time trying to use my phone to do it that I rarely use my calendar. I am a busy mom with 7 kids. It would be a great time saver to have this app work as well as it is to log in on Safari and do it.
