Meh
The app will display my settings so I know it is at least connecting to the thermostat but anything I set in the app does not get applied to my system. I always have to go to the thermostat and change the settings. So…I guess I can at least see the outside temperature on my phone. I’ve been through several updates and it has never worked. It would also be nice if Face ID could be enabled since it consistently loses the login. Not that it matters since I give up on using this app. Update: I installed the 1.4.4 update and finally changes I make in the app actually make it to the thermostat. It took several minutes for the change to propogate but in the previous versions they never did. It's getting better! Now if they would enable Face ID login. Update: Spoke too soon. Sometimes it works, other times no. Glad Carrier's equipment is not like this app.
Update: Still inconsistent. Works 70% of the time for a few weeks then quits working altogether.

Horrible replacement that continue to get worse
One of the reasons I purchased a Carrier system was the My Infinity App and being able to control the system from anywhere and being notified if something goes wrong. I do not understand why you would get rid of something and replace it with a utterly worthless version that is still essentially being built and tested. Every single update gets worse not better. It has been months and this app is still a total waste of space that can not contact the Carrier servers and my thermostat can’t contact them either. And before you ask, everything is up to date and my wifi is fine.
I have tested and validated software in the past. You only replace something when your new version has been fully vetted and is actually ready to go. And is actually worth the upgrade to your customers. Saying we will be adding features over the coming months and then having an app that doesn’t even work for a vast portion of your customers seems like an incredibly stupid move that you continue to make repeatedly.
Maybe it’s time to go back to the drawing board. Make some upgrades and admit you need to return the old application until you get it figured out. My next HVAC system will not be a Carrier unless something changes. I can no longer recommend your systems to anyone.

Inferior replacement App!!!
It makes no sense why Carrier decided to develop this replacement app to their original intuitive facsimile for their Infinity wall controller. Their original MyInfinity app was a responsive, highly functional nearly duplicate interface to their HVAC system. Their MyInfinity app looked and felt like their wall controller interface and was a joy to use on a daily basis. This is not so with this Carrier Home app.
It is nearly criminal of Carrier to force users to learn two separate interfaces when they already had a perfect facsimile controller app. The new app experiences long latencies in displaying current system status even when on the same WiFi hub as the controller. This is a really bad since it misleads the end user to think that either current settings are wrong or that their system is malfunctioning. I no longer trust this app and infrequently use it. I notice that they’ve buried the system operating status page under a non intuitive add/manage devices page.
Carrier does not care about their end customers. I’ve experienced it first hand while trying to inquire about secondary wall controller availability. Their only customer service seems to be for connecting their controllers to the web. They directed me to contact my small town bubba HVAC contractor for advise. A completely different issue.

Dear Crosspeen,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and sharing your feedback. We understand your concern regarding the differences between the wall control and the app interface, as well as the contrasting functionality.
Our development team is continually working to improve the user experience and enhance the functionality of our app by bringing in new features. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we strive to provide a more seamless and intuitive app interface.
Regarding the operating status page, we have consolidated all the wall controller related information into one centralized location to allow our users to conveniently access all relevant details in a more streamlined manner.
To find this information using 1-tap, from your Wall controller device card on the app dashboard, tap the 'Settings' icon. This will take you to the wall controller related information.
If you have any further concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at resdigital@carrier.com. We are here to assist you.
Sincerely,
Carrier Home App Team
