Slug & Lettuce 17+

I’ll start with the good bits, one of the parties beer wasn’t very fizzy but he drank it anyway.
Bad bits the table was too Near the door and one of the party was chilly, so much for booking. I spoke to the concierge / doorman but he appeared a little stressed so we chose not to Add to his burden he muttered something sbout ‘kin social distancing. App was impressive and easy to use. Hand sanitizer smelt of lemons which was a plus. Not had the food but the ambience was good and buzzing. We felt safe and welcome the rest was just stuff!

Forced to download app and create account and order through there when I didn’t want to. Absolutely pointless as loads of small businesses and other companies don’t have an app and take your order at the table so why can’t Slug and Lettuce?! Signal for my phone wasn’t good so took forever to place order and create account. Then found menu on app was not up-to-date as they didn’t have a dish that we’d ordered so staff had to re-take that order at our table in the end - load of frustrating crap! Give your support to smaller businesses who desperately need your cash rather than these big chain companies - food not that great either, would highly NOT recommend!!

Previously we have been to slug and lettuce and had a great time with incredible service from attentive wait staff, we understand the industry is very understaffed just now but we felt that having no table service really brought the class down of the venue as we both work in hospitality and really believe in strong table service making a night out special… rather than having to download an app and make an account before you can even order anything don’t think we will be back until table service is back really makes such a difference!
