Description
RideLink allows you to do firmware update for Giant Power Pro and CycloSmart.
RideLink allows you to view your power data including pedal balance, force angle and calibration. RideLink also makes it easy to update your firmware.
Connect with Giant Power Pro
After pairing with your Giant Power Pro, you can view all this data in the RideLink app. The RideLink can connect with BLE-compatible heart rate straps to also show HR data for a complete overall view of your workout performance effort.
Connect with Giant Smart Trainer
After pair with Giant Smart Trainer, you can view immediately cycling data, adjust the resistance level and update firmware by the RideLink app. Also the RideLink app can connect with BLE compatible HR belt and cadence sensor to show heart rate and cadence data to see your overall workout performance.
Use RideLink to calibrate and update the firmware before your ride with Power Pro. This will ensure that all data output is accurate.
Workout data is saved in the RideLink app. You can also forward ride data via email to evaluate your ride performance and make future training adjustments.
Note: RideLink is compatible with all devices running iOS 9.0 or newer.

Would be a useful app
New bike with Power Pro v3. Apple workout doesn’t do anything with the data so for now I have this app. No point going into detail as for now the crashing needs to be addressed. Just done another ride and blinked and found the app had closed twice. None of the 3 periods had recorded. At least build in some auto saving please.
Absolutely shockingly bad!
I have never written a review before but I felt I had to inform people of the substandard product that Giant have on the marketplace! It’s by far the worst thing I have come across in my history of having a smart phone. I haven’t been able to calibrate the power meter with the app at all - not once. However, by some kind of miracle I have managed to record one ride. I have to say this is only one of many times that I have tried! I might have resigned myself to having power meters as ornaments - maybe the power meters are great it’s just the app is terrible but you need to two to work in harmony to collect any data on your ride - I fear that may not happen in my riding life span! The worst app I have come across - come on Giant you must do better! I felt disappointed I had to give it a star to be able to right this report - it’s not worthy of a star!
Giant - you need to fix version 2.2.0 and fast
Previous version 2.1.12 was a bit clunky, but at least you could calibrate the R8000 power meter (essential to ensure accurate readings) and update the firmware. This version (2.2.0) is simply useless. As other reviewers have said, as soon as the app opens it then crashes. Once downloaded there doesn’t seem to be a way of going back to previous versions, so now unable to calibrate power meter - spectacularly unhelpful.
Please sort it out Giant.
