Adult learner
Have bought the adult adventures books and use them in conjunction with the purchased accompanied scores which you purchase in this app.
They work well with a wait mode that stops the score if you hit wrong note a bit like flowkey (had 3 months free with Yamaha piano) but this app I find is better value as you keep the scores and don’t have a monthly fee. The app does crash a bit more often than I would like but can put up with this as it’s good value. Would like the crashing out fixed ( particularly on loop mode) and the ability to purchase a wider range of scores as may have to move to flowkey after completing all of the 2 adult adventures books as I like the wait mode when learning when your a complete beginner like me it lets you know you have hit a wrong note although that is much more obvious to me now when I work from one of the non app books such as classics or popular. Every one wants a monthly subscription which is a good model for them and a bad model for me hence why I like this app no monthly subs.
Great app, wish it end to the end of the PA course
Really great app. Fantastic functionality. Fun arrangements. Love that you can isolate the piano, the backing track or the metronome and adjust the tempo. It all works great. Has accelerated my learning no end. And the supplementary videos are fantastic.
I’d love it if they added levels 4 and 5 (or ideally the level 4/5 international version) as I’m halfway through Adult Book 2 and am really going to miss having this app to help me along. And it’d be great to have a few more repertoire books in there like the Disney ones, but that might be a copyright issue.
A must have for anyone studying with Piano Adventures
I've been following the Piano Adventure method books for a while and I'm currently on level 4. Unfortunately, most of the level 4 books aren't yet available in-app, but one, "Bigtime Popular" is. I'm currently learning "Pure Imagination" from this book and the app has been a god-send.
I can set the app to "pause mode" and connect the iPad to my digital piano, and the app checks that I'm playing the right notes and in tempo. The music doesn't scroll across the screen, either, like many other sheet music learning apps, which makes it feel much more natural.
I absolutely recommend this if you're playing anything from any of their lower level books, and sincerely hope they add more level 4 and 5 books soon.
