Temper the negativity where encouragement needed

When entering our weight the only response is a negative one telling us what we already know. For three consecutive weeks my weight has decreased but the only message back is “obese” surely an encouraging “good progress”/“well done” might help and encourage more good results? Clearly this would be inappropriate for those with anorexia but it would be possible for the program to check that before presenting a message.

Thank you so much for forwarding this for consideration and possible implementation. Brilliant news👍

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your feedback- its really valuable and whilst we want to always ensure we are giving accurate but effective messaging in our apps, we recognise the importance of positive messaging also.

UPDATE: I've had confirmation that you can now set personalised targets and the messaging against those targets will be more positive for example it might say ' Your reading is on target, well done'

I hope this means a more positive message across your fantastic efforts with you setting your target.

My health prompt for feedback

Hi
This has been a most useful app in daily monitoring, only trouble is the weight app when adding values despite careful checking before entering the value I’ve had many spurious figures appear on the graph, some way out in accuracy! I’ve been advised you cannot edit these out which is very annoying as once it is in, its in!!
Also why are BMI figures so inaccurate basis upon which to take advice or comment. I’m described as overweight at just under 14st for much of my younger days when I was much fitter than I am today. My GP says I am not overweight given my frame even at only 5’ 9” in height.
It is irritating to be described as overweight given people are broadly ranged across a whole frame as well as just height versus mass. I appreciate this is not an app issue but I was under the impression BMI was being reviewed in favour of other guidance?
The only other issue I have is that when you put up a message or link in the app such as the one I’m responding to now, it is impossible to go back into the app as the system locks my iphone SE so I have to switch off and reboot the phone to access the app again as normal😒.

Thank you otherwise for this service and I hope it does remain or become better in future and more importantly preserves data securely for both user and provider. I say this as my anti-virus software highlighted a breach of password sometime ago saying the link with myhealth app was the problem.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the app.

We really appreciate our app users responding to requests to share their experience, as we read every review and discuss them all internally. Our users are really important, especially daily users as you have described yourself because we want to ensure we always improve your experience.

We are pleased you find it useful for daily monitoring, but we also hear you about the BMI- we also understand that the BMI is considered outdated by some and this is something we will discuss with our medical director, we can also discuss especially how the graphs appear for you.

Data security is something we take very seriously. We follow every guideline and more to ensure the safety of your information, and go through rigorous testing and cyber security accreditations. You can read all about it in our privacy policy and if you every have any concerns, or want to chat to us about anything please do reach out to us at support@mymhealth.com

Thank you again this was really useful, and we are sorry this meant you had to login again.. I'm sure this is something we could improve on too and we promise we will share your feedback..

Best app ever

I love this app. Use it everyday and recommend it to everyone.

Before I got it a few years ago, I was a different person. My fitness level was … well, on the floor. If I fell over, I would be unable to get back up. Then something made me look at the ap .. I sweated like crazy, out of breath, exhausted.

A few weeks on, it got easier and I could get back up. I would be able to continue past the 15 minute mark…now, I can comfortably walk to the music for 2hours or more. Completed the million steps challenge last year, thanks to this app.

Now, I’m a bit lost. The app won’t play the music or videos on n my phone but will on my desktop computer. Internet speed is super fast! I am thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my phone but am scared as it was sent by my doctors. None of the current doctors have heard of it. I don’t want to lose all that fantastic help and videos so I’m holding out to figure this out. Can’t remember if the doctor gave me any password or other information. But i know they set my weight target.

I would give this app, 50 out of 10 if I could. It’s AWESOME and has changed my life for the better.
