HDReye is the first and only iOS app for creating custom 360° HDRi images for realistic 3D lighting and compositing.
Just select your desired dynamic range, follow the prompts to shoot a bracketed multi-exposure panorama of your location, and HDReye will stitch and generate a 32-bit (.EXR format) HDRi of your location.
HDReye is an essential app for combining 3D animation realistically with footage or capturing lightmaps of any location. What used to require an expensive 360° camera or chrome ball light probe, now can be done conveniently on your phone with HDReye.
Whether you are an independent 3D artist, VFX studio, AR developer, NFT artist, content creator, or just a hobbyist - HDReye is here to make your workflow simpler and renders more realistic.

Amazing
I play around a lot with camera tracking - mainly as a hobby. But one of the hardest things is to match the lighting and reflections. This app solves that. Easy to use and I’ve not had any issues with the result’s outputted. If you do a HDRI then this is the only app I’ve found to do it! Great app 👍

Waste of Time and Money – Hidden Paywall Just to Preview!
What a joke. This app makes you go through all the trouble of capturing a 360 HDRI, only to slap you with a paywall just to preview it. And the best part? They’re not even upfront about it. You only find out after wasting your time taking the full 360. Their excuse? “Server costs.” Oh, please. Plenty of other apps let you preview for free without crying about expenses. This one just wants your money. Don’t bother – there are better options out there.

We understand your frustration with seeing the preview paywall after completing your capture.
Your feedback about our lack of transparency is valid - we have since made steps to inform the user that this is a paid service in onboarding.
Regarding server costs - while this might sound like a convenient excuse, processing high-quality HDRIs does require significant computational resources, especially as our user base has grown. That said, we recognize we could do better with our approach. Our goal is to find a sustainable model that serves everyone fairly.
