I’ve lost multiple amounts of armor and weapons and I’ve over come that by spending hours of grinding and personally I’m alright with grinding since I don’t give up easily once you get a sewing table life become easier specially if you know the best ways to grind for the right materials I think the usage of weapons and armor should be ever so slightly better personally also maybe add more events and more often for lower levels I’m level 30 ish I think now and I’ve no problems with the grinding but I think the stable and chair should be less to make but overall great game and most people who say it’s too hard just ain’t patient

Survival requires patience, so searching for needed items is a big part of most survival games.

I was searching for a good build and grind game and Grim Soul is brilliant in this respect, but as your progress to the 3 skull islands and the Dungeons you actually need to buy packs to have any chance for descent loot, weapons and armour...then bang your dead and lost everything, having to vomit cause you try to replenish your health or died at the hands of another player and boom..they get your good loot. I am a lvl 40 and can’t craft half the items cause you can loot a 3 skull island with a club or the half used weapons you get looting. I don’t have any decent skills and they never seem to improve as you lvl up. I’ve got plenty of crystals but can’t do anything with them cause no new slots and you can’t even upgrade your skills, it’s very frustrating. Trying to build a stable and dire wolf pen takes so much materials,I enjoy the grind of trying to get everything. But having to buy just to thrive is a big disappointment. I got to my lvl grinding hard but now it’s money..money.. money and then you lost everything and don’t have time to get to your body. I think this would make the game a lot more enjoyable for people. I loved it to begin with, graphics, concept and gameplay is brilliant. But I am now losing interest as I’ve put a good amount of money in to buy better weapons, armour and just die all the time. Hopefully some of this can be addressed.

We understand that sometimes you just want to achieve some goals quickly, and it seems that there is no other way besides using items from the store. But you still have another way. With due diligence in finding resources, anything can be obtained for free.
Level 40 might be too early to go to three skull islands, especially if you are not prepared for this journey well.
If the game seems complicated, try changing tactics. In our community, you will find players who share tips for going through the Grim Soul. Perhaps, there you will find a couple of tricks to help achieve your goal.

Generally an enjoyable game with some familiar aspects of Dark Soul type games.

So why the 3 stars? I don’t like the in-app purchase. I understand that the developers need to make money from their apps, however, I would prefer to pay a single fee to purchase the app. I don’t like hidden costs in games - by adding in a mini store that charges for items that are frankly not worth the investment is a kick in the teeth for any player.

If you want a game that simply offers a fun experience that isn’t trying to rip you off any chance you get then I recommend avoiding this one. I get what they’re trying to do - there are some nice souls like aspects to the game but unlike Dark Souls it’s constantly trying to charge you for something. I’d prefer to spend £30 - £40 one off payment to enjoy a full experience than play something “free” that then adds in charges upon charges for something you get as standard in a premium game.
