My WD cloud has always been difficult to access and now thanks this unintuitive app it’s impossible!
Room to improve
The issue with other reviews is you need to have a paid copy of GoodSync running on another machine be it Windows or Mac. Then you can set up an account and run as a server on your machine. Then when downloaded on a ios device you can log in with the same details. This then allows you to run as a server on your device so your computer can see your device and you can set up sync folders. Also this allows you to explore from your device back to your computer. This should work anyway you have internet but find that the most reliable way is to VPN back to home network we’re my computer is sat running. This allows me to have copy of my work files on my iPad as iPhone doesn’t have any space but on my iPhone I can explore back to see the files needed.
This isn’t explained in the app but as I have run the sync software for a few years went digging on the help section to work this out. Ideally this now needs to be linked to the files app as the files I carry on my iPad are available to see but hard to open in a app and change then to save back so that they sync back to my computer.
So far so bad....
Is this a joke? Step 1 download app from App Store, step 2 get prompted for login details when no previous registration page and / or login credentials requested or set up, step 3 get stuck with invalid login credentials.....rubbish ( back to DropBox!)
