Backblaze 4+

This is a great service right up until the point of which you need to restore something. This app constantly logs me out, requiring me to re-authenticate every single time I try to use it. I could live with that however it doesn’t allow you to select a date range limiting the files you can select and if you do find the one you want you better hope it hasn’t been corrupted. Turns out Backblaze is entirely unreliable. I shall not be renewing.

The app worked fine for a while, but then logged me out and I’m unable to log back in no matter what I try. I’ve run through various bits of advice on the support website but nothing works. I’ve been quite disappointed with much of the Backblaze service, frankly – many glitches and problems. The web restore interface is a disaster and hasn’t been improved in years. The basic backup of files seems solid enough, but that’s about as complimentary as I can be. Very disappointing.

It is a real pain not being able to sort the files by date or have a “recently added” area. Often when I am out and about, it is the file that I was just working on that I want to access and read/send and it is very time consuming going through the list alphabetically. A search function would also be really helpful and the ZipCloud app is a good example of the iPhone interface to an online backup done really well.
