**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and be running the latest Video Station 2.3.0 to get the complete set of features**
Use DS video to stream your video collection on your DiskStation from your iOS mobile device. Browsing is made easy as your videos are sorted in different libraries, and each movies has its information retrieved online automatically. And if you have connected HDHomeRun devices with DVB-T standard to the same local area network as your Synology NAS, you will also be able to record TV programs, as well as view the TV program to manage the recording schedule even when on the move.

Ratings and Reviews
No skip/back functionality?
Just installed on my Apple TV 4K, can’t for the life of me work out how to skip forward/backwards in videos? I would’ve thought that’s a pretty standard functionality for a video player ☹️
Works sometimes
Firstly handles only some formats, hard to tell which as despite encoding a load of DVDs in the same format, some work and some don’t which unsupported format error. Oddly, many of those that don’t work directly in DS Video, do work when played back via DS File, another app from Synology so that’s a bit weird and a terrible user experience.
Secondly, DS Video now refuses to even play anything now from two different NAS behind two different router/firewall on two different ISPs. I get a vague port forwarding error despite no changes to firewall rules on both routers.
Not impressed with the half hearted delivery of many Synology apps.
Great piece of software
A great piece of software works really well , just one floor at the moment when you share a video the recipient clicks the link but some videos say NOT SUPPORTED yet they work in every other way, they just don’t work through Synology quick connect.
Otherwise a great program.
