J’utilisais alarmy avant mais elle était très facile à tricher. Même si je pouvais pas me réveiller, j’envoyais un message à Alarmy avec des excuses débiles et ils supprimaient la pénalité.
Mais avec Nuj, il faut faire plus d’effort, parler avec le développeur. Donc ça me motive beaucoup plus à me réveiller.
Le seul souci, c’est le prix de 50€ / an à mon avis, sinon c’est top

What a deception,

I used this app for a few weeks in test mode with no payment setup and was about to leave a great review. I liked the simplicity of it and the human approach. And was about to leave a 5 stars review.

And then I setup my first real « pay if up don’t wake up alarm » only to see you ALSO have to pay the developer $5 per month. NOWHERE is it written you have to pay a premium plan if you really want to use that feature more than 5 times a month (like, let’s say, everyday!).

To the developer, writing this nowhere, it’s both mean and I think it does not comply with Apple Store. So not only you lost a potential customer that would have been ready to pay, but now I’m angry for being fooled.

Thanks for the feedback. It's great to hear that you found Nuj valuable enough to consider a 5-star review. It's too bad it resulted in a 1-star due to a less than ideal design choice.

My intention with the design of the app was not at all to deceive, but I can see how your experience led you to think that. I'm sorry about that.

When I originally built Nuj, the "Add Payment Method" button would take you to a subscription page. This felt very misleading. Why would you have to subscribe to add a payment method? That is why I switched to allowing users to add a payment method without any commitment. If they wanted to use the app after 5 alarms, they were welcome to subscribe at that point.

Also, because Nuj donates the penalties to charities, it cannot take payment from within the app. That's why you don't see the subscription page from within the app either. This is part of the App Store guidelines for apps that donate money to charity.

I really do appreciate the feedback and will try to come up with a design that provides clear expectations about the revenue model of Nuj.
