YoLink 4+

I have tried a lot of smart home technology over the years. But the products from this company are the ones I tell my friends to buy. The hardware is very good and on par with other companies but what puts this ahead of the game is how well the software was designed and laid out. It’s almost like my next question is the next thing in the software for me to do. The screens and wording used is very clear and you understand it almost immediately.

I have one request that I really really really wish the designers would implement right away. There’s a feature where you can continuously be alerted if a door is left open. But the problem is the way they designed it. The minimum alert time is 10 minutes. This is way too long for me as there is time for a pet or a young child to escape the house before I know it, when you set this door remaining open Alert, I would like it to be able to alert me every minute. Not every 10 minutes.

Other than that, I highly recommend this

It gets the job done if setting up the sensors and alerts, but this App needs some attention. 1)Where’s dark mode? This is 2025. Opening up the app at night in response to an alert just blinds you. 2)improved contrast. 3)open up a local hub API in case the internet is down. 4) local home assistant integration, again in case the “cloud” is unavailable. 5) again dark mode

Someone else said it in the reviews already so I know it has to be the YoLink app system that is messed up or the devices are not operating after new updates went out on the phone. Our power shut off in the whole area and when it came back on my hub was having nothing but problems. The hub connects and disconnects all day long and night long. I’ve tried resetting, logging out, deleting the app and reloading, and the problem continues. I’ve tried to get help from YoLink but I haven’t got any responses yet. Also all my other devices are going haywire too and I’m getting sent false reports or they are lagging for hours or days when I get the alert. Something is definitely wrong now with the YoLink app or system, but I would stay away from it until they are able to address these problems if they even try to address the problems. But this system is definitely not worth putting money into or subscribing for a monthly service fee if YoLink can not come up with a fix it solution. Also customer service needs some help as well. This is the first time that I’ve had to contact YoLink and ask for help, and so far I haven’t received any call backs or any email responses from them. Right now I would rate YoLink a Zero star . I rated YoLink a five star before and I really loved using this system. But with YoLink’s crappy customer service and all their devices are starting to malfunction , it’s not looking good for this company and product.
