Ratings and Reviews
Quality Dropped Overtime
When iOS 15 was first released, this extension was one of the only dark mode available for safari. The app has aged poorly over time and unfortunately, there are a lot of better apps out there now. One of the main issues is in order to have dark mode enabled on webpages. You have to have a giant toggle that blocks the webpage. Great app when it started when it was one of a kind but is out beat by the competition.
Developer Response ,
Hi Tamloo,
You said this " to have a giant toggle that blocks the webpage" and rated 2 stars.
You can already remove that night switch since that Turn Off the Lights Safari extension. See this YouTube video tutorial on how to get the Night Owl profile. That will use the lamp button to toggle ON/OFF the Night Mode. And not big night switch will be visible on the web page.

Thanks,
Good app, great developer
I downloaded specifically so I could rate and review. No, I’m in no way associated with anyone or anything regarding the app. I’m in no way being compensated for this review (or any review for that matter). I’m sure it works fine over time and if it doesn’t, I’ll be sure to edit. Why do I feel confident in this? Because the dev has thoroughly answered all the 1&2 star “complaints”. I’m in an industry highly dependent on reviews, as well. It’s rare that I receive anything less than a 5, but it happens. When I looked a week ago, I had just passed the 13,000 mark. I’ve noticed one correlation that I feel qualified to relate here: dumb people give the worst ratings. They don’t understand something, it makes them angry and they need to assign blame because they also don’t understand they’re brain is the problem. It results in unfair reviews that can greatly affect the lives of those who have put in countless hours of work. Usually, the person leaving a bad review DIDN’T READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Some of us don’t have to, but if you’re a slowpoke, take the time to read before 1 starring and looking like a moron in a public forum.
After one week of using got stuck on…
Got stuck on “on switch” on every web page after one week of use and had to delete the app because the options page wouldn’t even open. I have a lot of tech experience. I have programmed before. I have worked out kinks in websites with my old college tech support when they needed help. Could not figure out how to troubleshoot and get it to work even after deleting and reinstalling or turning it off and on in the safari extensions menu. The website still wouldn’t pull up and let me change the options to even see why it was stuck on so I couldn’t see any of my webpages because they were all greyed out when I have this app installed. Needs troubleshooting on the developers end and then I will update my review.
