Trace Teams 4+

The Trace app is very simple to use and keeps the user on task with step by step instructions. The equipment set-up, viewing functions and Trace a game set-up have been very well thought out for the user. I would give the app 5 stars but have noticed one error in the roster settings. Between games one of the rosters for our club keeps adding a player to an empty Trace slot after we switch the player to a different number. We switched the player because a Trace cube is not working but when the operator opens the roster to hand out tracers it keeps putting a player in the bad slot. This does not happen on all rosters so we are in the troubleshooting phase to figure out if it is operator error or a trace app error. Once we solve this issue I would give the whole program 5 stars. The customer support from the app and staff have been amazing. Thank you

the app allows on-the-field set up of the Trace video camera. it provides instructions with pictures to guide you through the process, which makes it so easy that anyone could record a game on their first try. they also include a way to get urgent ‘on-field support’ if something goes wrong, and their customer support is the best out there. a very helpful FAQ section is also accessible through the app.
Trace automatically separates out several playlists which gives the option to easily watch individual player clips (the first thing we watch after filming a game are all of my daughter’s plays), or tactical moments from the game (the second thing we watch are all the goals scored, then our ‘touch chains’). you also have the option to watch the full game and the players can save and easily share their favorite soccer clips with coaches, family members and friends or to social media.
we have used Trace for the entire spring season and our families and players love it!

Let me start with the fact that if you have a game at 3pm and you set up at 2:30 it doesn’t place a hold, it will start recording since that time and then you get a email complaining for start recording in advance. The recent updates are horrible, now you must have a membership to watch the game, or if there is a way to send to a friend we can’t figure that out anymore. It used to be extremely simple.

Also I feel like an IT person every game I have to upload. I use to connect and download and no problem, but lately it’s always asking to push the update. Not uploading correctly and not uploading when plugged. I am not an expert, but I am savvy and handle technology ok.

Also I am a manager in all academy teams and I can’t watch the games for my children let alone the other teams. It only allows me to do that using the login were my boys are. I had to add my family email and work email for the app to work. That was recent. I used to brag about TRACE but no more. Customer service it’s good, but all via email and I feel like every day I am writing and sometimes I can’t even get it solved.
