SUPERSTAR YG 4+

I have been waiting for a superstar YG forever and now we finally have it! And ever since I downloaded it yesterday I've been excited. There are some critics on it which I will get to, but first I wanna talk about the positives and stuff I like.

First of all, the background music when you're navigating the app? 10/10. It's so much better than that annoying music in the other superstar games. I literally cannot stand the music in the other games. But besides the music, I love that you have to work for the mission awards. Though I was frustrated with it last night, I like it. That you do one thing and boom award. No, you have to work for it.

Now onto things I have a problem with. I don't think the touch sync is very fair and needs to be tweaked a bit, I've noticed other people saying how they touch on the beat, but they only get a perfect or a simple good, and I agree with them. Next is that I was kinda sad not to see 2NE1 in the artists category. I'm hoping this changes in the future since 2NE1 has lots of songs that fans hold dear to their hearts. I know 2NE1, Lee Hi are not part of YG anymore but it would be nice to see them.

I'm hoping in the future we get even more things and this game really comes together like SM, JYP, PLEDIS, STARSHIP, GFRIEND, BTS, etc. Thank you :)

I love the superstar games and downloaded this one and the JYP one. Why do these games force you to spend money to do anything good? Even the music battles can’t be won if they have s or r cards and u don’t have any even if you are infinitely better. I was matched up with a person whose whole deck was R cards, they had 132 misses and I had 0. My point score was over a 1,000 and theirs was 0 and they still had over 2 million and won. This isn’t even a music battle anymore it’s a battle of whether or not you have the money to get cards. And if you say well you can do the events to get card packs: that’s also impossible. Tried to do the iKon event but the missions that give the card packs are impossible to achieve without high ranking cards. I was able to get 2 B and 1 A card for the group but even then I barely made 800k with perfect play. And they hinder and force you to buy even more by making it impossible to choose the cards you want for the event. I had miraculously gotten an S card for the group I could’ve used to go over at least 1.5 million but nope, you can on,y use the cards that belong to the music theme which you only get doing the event missions which you can’t do without spending money to get the cards matching the theme. This game is impossible.

Really? A song that has been out for a handful of years gets an event and a new card theme while the brand new BIGBANG song doesn’t? You lost a star over this.

While this is a very fun game, there’s not enough time for events and it’s near impossible to complete them without spending money especially with how short the time frame for events is. Even worse when all the cards for a song are limited edition and thus can only be obtained during the event. Personally, I would play more often if it wasn’t so pay to play, especially since I mostly only play when there IS an event for BIGBANG/GD/GD&TOP and part of that is since it’s such a money thing. I’d play more and perhaps even spend more on it and be more interested in playing other artists’ songs if the events lasted longer and if cards were more easy to get with the virtual currency instead of real money. And I would indeed play more, because aside from the money barrier it’s a fun rhythm game, I had to get used to not playing full songs at first, but when it comes to rhythm games playing a short version of a song can be a good thing.
