Ratings and Reviews
one of my favorite strategy games
I played the first stick war game and stick war 2 and stick war empires and stick war legacy and stick war 3 I love all of them crazy fun you can make a lot of strategy’s with all the different units the best part is you can control them to in stick war 2 me and my brother beat the game it was a lot of fun doing all kinds of different strategies and tactics to beat it the ending blew me and my brother away then you made stick war 3 and we loved the beta version and we are glad the stick war 3 was fully released with a twist storylines which are so crazy and Interesting just like piecing together a whole giant puzzle to the story really like the fact you added story lines and new units can’t wait for more in the next updates still waiting for the other 2 maps and the elemental units to be added later on I just love using different strategies 1 line 5 Jugger Knights and the next line 5 Archeradons for long range the rest of the line 2 healers 2 giants and a couple of more Jugger knights I really love this game and i recommend to everyone that loves strategy games and story lines to go with them including the back ground is pure art to play this I can never get bored of playing this game because it’s so Much Fun!.
It’s good but has problems
The game is good. It’s fun and I enjoy playing it. However the balance is kinda lacking. Heavy and ranged units are extremely powerful. Light units kinda got the shaft. Their weak in terms of both health and damage. Whenever light units go up against heavy or ranged units they almost always get decimated. It’s to the point that their basically useless. I understand light units being the cheap and weaker units, but their just obscenely weaker. On top of that, they barely have any enchantments that affect them while heavy and ranged have quite a few.
Light units really need a buff. They should play more into their archetypes like swordwrath being great against heavy units but not great against hordes of light or ranged units. Cyclewrath should be great against hordes of light with their splash damage but struggle with heavy. Zombies are slow and weak but should have more health so they can get close and really play off of their undead horde style. Crawlers are just bad though. Their weakest in the game and their only gimmicks are that their fast and they stack in 6 instead of 5. They really need a buff but if you don’t want to change their stats at least make them train faster. Right now their just a faster, worse zombie.
Basically what I’m saying is that light melee units need to be buffed. I almost never see them used and when I do the person using them always loses. It’s a fun game, but it’s getting tiring seeing the same units used every game.
Unit Improvement
The game is a great combination of all games before, but now with multiplayer. It is fun and enjoyable, but the rounds usually take up to an average of 7 minutes. When you play for a while this adds up. Also certain units need to be more balanced. For instance, the wizards can attack Eclipsers with their explosion, yet the Marrowkai can’t. In fact the Marrowkai needs to be a lot more powerful because he dies way to fast and can’t attack enough. More importantly though the game is fun and well designed. However they did kinda dumb it down and make it more kid-friendly and although this makes it better for kids it does set aside the old feeling and look of the old games. This includes the way the eyes look now in animations, the blood is other colours besides red, and the units are not as aggressive as they used to be. However although these are just my opinions, the game is fun and very well designed so I would promote getting it.
