Stelo by Dexcom 4+

1. Would love to contact support by phone or email. It seems like if you contact support then they will just send you a new sensor and be done with it. I would like to explain what went wrong so these issues can be addressed instead of just being given another sensor.
2. The app could use some updating but isn’t bad. It would be nice to see historic data.
3. Accuracy/ability to calibrate sensor. My first sensor was way off. I work in a lab on some days and got by blood drawn to compare reading. I was skeptical of my readings but my average was 110 and fasting glucose from previous drawings was in the 70s and my a1c is below 5. Lab draw showed 74 when sensor showed 100. A good idea would be to send customers a calibrate kit? Dunno.
4. My next sensor has more accurate readings but I’m on 7 right now and the sensor has been having errors for the past 24hrs

Received my first sensors yesterday and it seems to be working fine. Not sure how accurate readings are but after reading it can take sensor as long as a couple days to fully calibrate I’m hoping my readings will start being closer to what my finger sticks are. Like others, would be nice to be able to look back previous days to see patterns. I’m getting extended periods of time with “below 70” readings, would be really helpful if it told me what the actual level was for these low readings. Last night while sleeping readings showed 3-4 hour period of continuous low readings. No way to know what actual levels were. I’m sure if I told my doctor I’m “below 70” 23% of a 24 hour period his first question would be “how low “. This app is new and has tons of potential, hopefully will see additional features on near future. Also hope sensor calibration completes soon and readings are more in line with my finger sticks. Really nice not having to stick 7-8 times a day.
UPDATE- My readings are coming closer to my finger sticks. More importantly, after doing some research I learned that the Dexcom Clarity App is compatible with the Stelo sensor. This app incorporates all the information from the Stelo and provides a wealth of information including reports that can be downloaded and saved on your computer or even shared with your health provider. The Clarity app used in combination with the Stelo sensor is a game changer.

A really great product! I placed my order and it arrived the next day! It was very easy to install the sensor, and app is very easy to use. It was working great for about four days and then suddenly quit working. I received an alert that said the sensor is no longer working, install a new sensor. I tried to reach out to support but realized they do not have a direct phone number. They provide a Bot, for support. After sending the Bot a message that my sensor quit working after only four days (instead of the fifteen days that it is supposed to last), I received an email directing me to fill out a claim form with the pertinent information. It was a simple form and as soon as I sent it, I received a reply saying they would send me a replacement sensor. A terrific response to an otherwise shaky start. I love all of the information they provide about controlling your blood glucose spikes. It is very empowering to have this information. I have already made changes to diet and exercise that are lessening spikes. Great job Stelo!
