ScreenPal Screen Recorder 4+

I am a learning designer, and right now, I’m super excited about all of the new AI enhancement I am discovering in video creation apps. I believe this one is amazing because you can capture anything on your phone your iPad and from your browser just by hitting the record button to get top quality, talking head or without, and there are additional tools for taking a quiz on the information covered in the video! My only question is, where has this app been all my life because it solves a lot of challenges about having an app where I need it when I need it instead of having to take my phone and record the screen or downloading an app that my company didn’t approve. After you record, there are so many tools for editing and adding directions and notes for your learner. And finally, I love that everything is saved up in a dedicated cloud space so that you can reuse content you captured before or you’re never worried about running out of space on your personal devices because video takes up a lot of space. if you don’t have this app, you are fooling yourself and making things a lot more complicated than they need to be. I highly recommend this app and excited to share about it to my colleagues for all of our various types of corporate training productions!

I used Screen-Cast-Omatic on my windows machines for years and was glad to find out that the rebranded ScreenPal works well on both my older iPad and my new MacBook Pro. Great experience so far and the upload to cloud works well too. The change-over to the Mac has been frustrating at times because I’m learning different ways of doing things so it’s nice to have a familiar screen capture and recording tool—looking forward to exploring the new features. Great job!

I cannot stress enough how AWFUL Screencast-O-Matic is. It has literally sent me into rage and depression because of how much time and work I’ve wasted trying to use it for school. It freezes constantly— just now I was recording an 8 minute video and had to shut down and force restart 3 separate times. On the off chance that the recorder doesn’t freeze, there is constant lag— each time I press record the video freezes for 5 seconds and then finally begins )meaning I have to edit out the 5 second of silence after each take). The support team is absolutely useless; they just tell you to uninstall and reinstall (even though that achieves nothing). I literally want to rage quit this app 100% of the time I use it. Hope I never have to see it again after this school year ends.
