Ratings and Reviews
Great
I love this app. I’m so glad it was advertised on Facebook since I’ve downloaded it. I’ve already received a total of $30 in gift cards. I only recommend just one suggestion. Is it’s better to get a gift card for a business because the Visa MasterCard can’t be added to an Apple wallet and they could only be used online. I’ve been using mine to get gift cards for mostly Walmart, but also Domino’s and Target. I highly recommend this app plus it helps you drive better. Luckily I’m a great driver and I always have been so that’s why I’ve been earning a lot. I downloaded this app approximately two months ago so and I’ve been earning a gift card pretty much every week.
Good idea, but…
The idea is great, rewarding safe driving helps everyone but this this app is far to sensitive. I’ve yet to earn a reward because it’s constantly scoring me low for 1 hard break in an entire weeks worth of trips. I’m a safe driver, l leave room between me and the car ahead but if some road rager decides to stop short or cut me off obviously I need to use the brakes. Everything else is always 100% no infractions but 1 brake and it kills the score and is nearly impossible to raise. Other people’s bad driving should not penalize me so much. If on every trip or even every other one I was braking hard, sure than I could see a low score but not for 1 trip in the entire week. There needs to be a balance. Consistently having an infraction by all means lower the score, but not for 1 in an otherwise perfect week, when that 1 wasn’t probably even my fault. It’s also to sensitive about it not picking up when you’re the driver. Phone kept in my purse on the seat NOT being used and it registers the trip as a passenger, not everyone needs or has a mount in their car for their phone.
Not too bad
So I’ve been using RoadClub for a little bit now and have claimed around $20 or so but the only reason it doesn’t get a 5 star is because when you go to claim the reward, you have to re-enter your information again and if you somehow manage to fat finger anything like I apparently did on my last $10 reward, there is no way to see what you entered or to correct it. In my opinion, you signed up with your information and why not just populate it into the areas when you claim the reward so this doesn’t happen. Right now I have $10 that I can’t use on a prepaid that I’m not sure who I have to contact in order to get this corrected so I can use it for gas which I’ve been doing for these. Any suggestions from the company would be great at this time. Otherwise, the app is a good way to make a few bucks over time to save up for holiday shopping.
