Description
RideWell℠ provides driving feedback to personal automobile policyholders of The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, helping them become safer and better drivers.
The app automatically detects when driving starts and stops by using the drivers’ smartphone sensors to measure their vehicles’ movements. RideWell runs in the background and uses GPS and low-power sensing methods to reduce battery consumption as it logs all driving trips. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically reduce battery life. The app shows trip summaries, details on driving habits and gives useful feedback on becoming a better driver.
To use the RideWell app, drivers are insured by The Cincinnati Insurance Companies and gain access when the policyholder enrolls in RideWell through the MyCincinnati app. For additional information, insureds should call their independent agent recommending RideWell.

I’m a better driver than I was before this app!
Our family got this app when our teen began driving and we turned it into a friendly competition amongst us. I have rarely gotten tickets or wrecks but often was a fast, tight-cornering, multitasking driver when we were late or distracted in the busy-ness of our family life. So my family was shocked to find that I had the best score bc I had begun paying more attention to speed zones, locking my phone/using hands free options (which I had not previously bothered to learn) and accelerate and brake more gradually. I’m thankful the discount on insurance rates has encouraged us all to go from good drivers to better drivers with less car wear and tear and lowered risk potential.
Your personal driving coach
Amazing thorough feedbacks on your trips/drivings. A sensible driving coach that understands the various situations you’ll encounter in your trips, and will take them into consideration. I love the ability to review what, when, and where improvements can be made. The app is pretty polish. I have been using it for two weeks and haven’t noticed any major negatives yet. I prefer this over USAA Safe Pilot app.
Works Well But No Implied Discount
The app works well and makes me more aware of my driving. However the app also incentivizes you to drive through yellow lights rather than stop quickly so I think it’s neutral on making me a safer driver.
The big negative is that my insurance company said I would get a discount for using the app and an additional discount if I was rated a safe driver. Well I am in the top 10% of drivers with a 99% score and my insurance company just notified me that I do not qualify for a discount of any kind. False advertising I believe
