So far I like this app. The only issue is that when I go to set a temporary hold, the app freezes whenever I change the hold until time. Also when I launch the app I feel like it takes too long to open. I understand it Hass to check the system status, but when you first open it it takes a long time just to get to the thermostat. Also every time you open the app you have to click on the snowflake icon then change the temperature, even though the system is on cool the app defaults to the heat tab being selected.

I manage commercial real estate for a living. This app does the job and the phone (human) support at Pro1 is really good as well. It’s important for me to be able to set a “minimum cooling” and “maximum heating” setting on the thermostat so people can’t ice up the AC unit by setting the temp unrealistically low. Happens often people put their stat to 50 degrees thinking it will cool down faster or something and as the unit can never achieve that low temp, on a really hot day, and then ices up and the cooling stops. also a good way to stress and sometimes blow a compressor. That’s an avoidable call for service I’m happy to avoid by setting a minimum temp in the 70s.. Easy to do on the WiFi enabled model and also customer support will walk you through it the first time.. That’s what I did. I’m slowly transitioning all my thermostats to this brand and using this app more and more to monitor the HVAC units under my managements and also easily set and modify the program schedules ,using the app instead of punching in the physical thermostat (mush easier) and tailoring to each tenants individual needs. Makes my life a little easier and I like that!

We’ve only had it a week, and given the previous reviews, I was worried that our a/c company picked a bad thermostat- but I am happy to say they did not! It works flawlessly! My husband uses this app to turn the a/c down from his phone every weekday morning. It’s easy to set a schedule and just as easy to change the temperature temporarily and then put it back on schedule again! It’s great! I do want to give a heads up though. I have found when setting up the schedule, once you hit Save, even when you go in to change the setting again and hit Save again, it doesn’t save the new setting. It’s a simple fix - you tell the app to reset to the default settings, then put in the schedule you want. So, my word of advice is to figure out what schedule you want FOR SURE and then put it in. But, if like us, you realize you need it warmer or cooler, and you find the app won’t save the info, you now know how to easily fix it. I highly recommend this thermostat!!!
