Description
Pocket Pitch is a simple tool for singers who need to be able to quickly identify or play notes. This app combines a pitch pipe, piano, and tuner so that you have the quintessential tools of a singer!
The Pitch Pipe is its primary function. It uses professionally recorded sound so that the audio experience is just like carrying around a pitch pipe with you.
The Piano allows for 6 octaves of pitches, ideal for vocal warm-ups or plunking out notes.
The Tuner can help you identify notes or see if you're flat or sharp.
The settings page allows the option to provide feedback. The goal is to make the best free mobile app for singers, so input is greatly appreciated.

Ratings and Reviews
Very handy
My mom, a former opera singer, turned me on to this tuner. She uses it to determine what note singers in recorded performances “actually” hit, rather than what was written! (She’s a stickler!!😊) It is a nifty little app with a surprising number of options!
I dropped a star for the following reasons:
I play bass, so for tuning in the lower register, I have to use the keyboard to match the pitch because the pitch-pipe is way too many octaves away (at least for my ear), and the timbre is a little nasal and hard to hear from a tiny phone speaker compared to a bass amplifier. However, I find this tuner FAR preferable to Fender’s version. (And you can turn the ads off!)
The keyboard option with so many octaves is really handy, but I find latency a bit of an issue if trying to peck out a melody at tempo.
I’ve had and used this app for at least a couple of years and have recommended it to several people because it is SO straightforward.
Pocket Pitch Review
I think this app is pretty good! One thing I wish was different is about the piano portion of the app. I think it would be helpful if the screen would switch from up and down, to side to side one your screen; I feel like this would make it easier to play the notes (and since it is supposed to be a piano, it would make it more realistic).
Overall, this app is pretty cool and I would defiantly recommend it to anyone who’s considering getting it or not.
Be the one that knows the note
Extremely simple and easy to use digital pitch pipe. Recently found myself in a situation where the music director for the musical that I’m in quit- half way through rehearsals. And with him went his piano- this saved me last at last nights rehearsal when not only did it find my F#, but I literally pounded notes with it.
Not to mention everyone thought I was way more professional that I actually am!! Bonus points for that!! Get this!!
