Pixels Play Along Game 9+

It's a clever concept. But put the phone or iPad close to the speaker to sync to the game. It's using some type of shazam technology and needs a sonic trigger to find where it's at in the movie. But it's does work. It's a clever concept not brilliantly executed but it's pretty cool to be involved in the movie. So turn up the sound and let the app sync

I downloaded this app because I thought it would be a fun experience to interact with a movie about video games in the fashion of a video game. But after I downloaded it, went through the instructions, enabled my camera and microphone, and got ready for the film, I saw the error message that said that this app was outdated and needed a download from the store to refresh it. I thought that in the weeks since I downloaded the app, there was a change in the algorithm or whatever. So I went back to the App Store on the app’s page, and saw that yes, it did have an update, which was 5 years ago!! So either I accidentally went back in time through a wormhole when I downloaded this app, or there hasn’t been an update yet for 2021. I’m guessing it’s the latter. Please game developers, this is a really worthwhile gaming concept. If you want people to still be able to enjoy it, then please, keep the updates coming so they are available as soon as possible. I don’t know if I’m looking in the right place, but I didn’t find any update as of yet on the app page. Here’s hoping something changes for the better.

I love this movie and this seems like a really cool game concept but when you download it and try to play you are met with a “error” and “needs an update” warning. The only thing that works is the badge creator (which by the way is absolutely amazing, I printed mine to the size of a real card on card stock paper then laminated it. LOOKS AMAZING) I hope that the creators will update this app for 2023. Thanks for reading and have a great day! d(•u•)
