Interesting

I enjoy working on my tones with this simple but fun app! It gets a bit monotonous though! It may be an idea to incorporate a testing function to enable users train and compare their tones ....

Good but not great

As others are saying, there's just a limit to how accurately this app can reproduce tones. Very often the speaker cannot clearly distinguish between a two vs three tone for instance, and that's a little frustrating because you just have to know the original word (which defeats the purpose of guessing tones).
But overall the app is still helpful and better than nothing. You'll definitely find yourself wishing the speaker would pronounce the words more clearly though.

First step for learning Chinese

If you didn't start with tones, your Chinese will be unintelligible. This app is a great way to master your tones before you start intensively studying vocabulary.
