It’s great when it works..

I have been using this app for roughly 4 years! During that time it was mostly incredibly convenient. I love that I can see when the metered time is about to end! I could pay without even leaving the location!!!
I do think that an audio alert would be even more helpful!!
Recently, I got a new phone and although the app is there, It will not load. Rather, it just buffers no matter where I am!
I’m not sure what to do.
Overall I’d give the app a 8 out of 10.. Would love someone to share a hack. I’m now using the actual meter to pay… 🥲

Why did you change a perfectly good app?

Why, why did you change? Old app was so easy and intuitive and in easy readable font. Payment could be charged to Apple store credit card. New release changed all of the above to make it much worse. It’s not intuitive. Who come up with sick idea to have a map. And once you enter parking Id it’s start telling and suggest parking address at the expense of the field where one has to enter parking if. This field is so small and stuck at the bottom so one need magnifying glsss to see what number you typed in. Now, I run out of funds and system wants me to type credit card info. it’s inconvenient to enter card info into the phone - you hold card in one hand, phone in another snd you need a third arm to type. I can not charge to Apple store credit card in automatic fashion the way it used to be. So instead, now I have to go back to the parking station and pay with credit card. You forced me to go back to use the credit card as opposed to NYC parking app. Even ewallet does not give you an option to charge apple store credit card.! Royal screw up! I will keep on using credit card and walk to parking payment and wait for the next release . Hopefully it will undo all these awful changes. Good luck!

Ripped off

We booked a parking lot with the app by choosing the pin closest to the venue we were to attend while we were sitting in our car next to the venue. We then entered the address of the parking lot only to find the lot selected on the app was 30 minutes from the venue. We tried canceling the booking, but it was too late. We then paid for parking at another lot next to the venue without using the app. We called the app customer service to get a refund. We were told the payment goes right to the city and they don’t give refunds. We were also told that you are not supposed to use the app until you are in the parking lot- that if you pay ahead, there might not be a parking spot in the lot when you arrive. We thought the whole point in “booking” a parking spot, was to insure there is a spot when you arrive. The app misrepresents it’s purpose and misrepresented the location of the parking lot. We are disgusted and feel completely ripped off that there is no way to recoup our lost money.
