Description

Work towards different calisthenics and strength skills, improve your strength and mobility, and move better with programs designed by Laura Kummerle, a physical therapist and coach (@paradigmofperfection).

These programs come from a unique perspective combining different techniques of general lifting/strength training, calisthenics/gymnastics skills and conditioning, mobility, and hand balancing, all while using the knowledge of a doctor of physical therapy to help reduce the risk of injury and help you feel good as you progress toward your goals!

This fitness app includes programs for ALL LEVELS including:
- General strength training programs that combine bodyweight strength and lifting
- Mobility programs
- Specific joint prehab programs to reduce injury risk (ex. shoulder, hip, knee, foot/ankle, and more)
- Progressive programs to help you get different skills (ex. handstand, pull up, strict muscle up, pistol squat, and more)

Anything can be progressed or regressed based on your current level. This app will meet you where you’re at and help you with scaled progressions to improve from there!

Best App I’ve found for strong and mobile training series

I enjoy body weight training and calisthenics. If you’ve always been on the cusp of pull-ups, handstands, pistols squats, etc. or just want to be more solid with these moves, this app is FANTASTIC.
If you’ve always been a little wobbly or puzzled by engagement, you’ll get clear guidance on how to approach the fundamentals.
The only thing stopping me from giving five stars is some minor UI things. None of which stop me from getting what I need out of the content. The menu doesn’t auto rotate on tablets to landscape so I ignore the giant pillar boxing. Sometimes the timer feels a bit rushed but I just tap to pause/unpause or use a clock.
If you are interested in, casually participating, or reengaging in pole dancing, circus arts, rock climbing, acroyoga, gymnastics, martial arts, or similar
GET THIS APP.

Pretty decent

I love how detailed her descriptions of the exercises are, and how scientific her approach is. Even the names of the exercises are super specific (which can actually be a bit overwhelming at first, but nice once you get the hang of it, it’s cool because I feel like I’m learning terminology that I would otherwise be unaware of). However, the UI is a bit rough. I wish the programs were laid out in a summary format somewhere on their page, and you could print it/download it so you don’t have to click through each exercise and be on the app the whole time, especially since week to week, there are similar exercises (though the reps and weight notes change). I find myself writing out the exercises, but it takes a long time. It’s cumbersome when you’re trying to maintain your heart rate and flow of your workout to be clicking through. I also wish that you could rewind and click through different parts of the video on the individual exercise page— you have to wait for it to finish and then rewatch the whole thing and you can’t pause if you want to rewatch a certain part of the video. I think it would be a really amazing app if some of this could be fixed, but overall, it’s amazing to have super clear programs to follow with so much detail. Most of the internet is saturated with random people telling you that these 3 exercises will transform this or that, or have really vague progressions without much explanation and little info on how to progress or regress. I would love to continue using the app, but $20 a month is a bit steep for how it is set up now. I think if it was $5 a month, more people would download it and keep it, even if it’s not perfect and end up making more money. Though it’s clear she put a lot of hard work into it, so I understand how disheartening it is to charge less. But maybe try it and if more people use it, you could get more dollar bills and make it user friendly. (:
