Great and Simple Couples App

My partner and I have been using Lovewick for a couple months now, we’re long distance and he isn’t the type to express a lot in person, so it’s been a perfect way to stay connected and learn more about him in a medium that’s way more comfortable for him. I love the section where you can put important dates and favorites in, it’s super sweet and easy access. The date ideas are fun and we love putting milestones up to look at, especially when we aren’t together. One thing that’s a little frustrating is that, since we are long distance we almost never do cards in person. When filling out the cards, the “save” button is close to the “completed” button and it’s hard to discern a lot. It would be great if either they were in totally different places, or you could I mark a card as played so the other person sees it better. It would also be fun if there were a way to do more back and forth after the cards. Even if there was a “I’d like to discuss this further” button to indicate if there isn’t a chat function. Since we each answer it’s really great to get our singular thoughts out but it would be nice to explore some of our answers deeper when we see what each other wrote. Overall really have enjoyed using Lovewick and I’ve recommended it to friends as a great way to stay connected (and especially my guy friends who are figuring out how to open up more:) ).

Great app for any stage of couples

I recommend this app to all my friends regardless of what stage they are in a relationship. Some of the best conversations I’ve had with my partner were sparked by the questions from this app. We’ve used the questions literally since our second date and have continued even now as we plan for marriage.

We use the questions on long drives, while waiting in line, during date nights, and whenever we’d like to feel more connected. The app also has a ton of cute ideas for gesture and dates that make it easy to love each other in ways big and small.

The app is well designed, simple, and thoughtfully built. It’s more fun, casual, and sweet compared to many other couples apps I’ve tried. AND it’s much cheaper than the alternative apps as well!

I love other physical copy games like WNRS and Where should we begin as well, but those are literally a finite set of questions for same if not more money… whereas Lovewick is constantly adding!

The founder regularly does videos on social media to share her research behind the questions / app, which satisfies the nerdy part of me greatly.

The only suggestion I have to make the app even better is if we could specify what level of intensity or seriousness we’d like in the random question draw… sometimes we’re out in public and get a super deep question that we’d wish we could answer at home, for example.

Anyway, TL;DR, get the app… you won’t regret it!

Disappointed as a Long Time User

Like many others, I’m also disappointed that the team took the questions - arguably the ONLY reason why my husband and I use the app - from 10 free questions per day down to only 1 per day. We’ve been using the app for years after I found out about it online, and we would take a few minutes before bed to go through our questions. We fell off a few months ago, and now that we’ve come back to the app, it’s to find out that I have to pay to get the features I used to get. I understand having to pay a team, I do. But you had a great thing and you ruined it. I don’t know a lot of people willing to pay any amount of money for what is behind the plus paywall, and saying that everything is free *if you’re patient* just feels rude. For a lot of couples that are already in established, long term relationship and have already utilized the other parts of the app, the questions are the main draw. I no longer feel inclined to put them into our nightly routine, because before if we got a less than stellar question to spark deeper conversation, we had 9 other chances to get one that was better. Now, if I get a dud question then I’m out for the day. Boo.

Hi there, I hear you on being disappointed. I'm disappointed, too, frankly! I wish there was a way to run this 100% free forever, but it's just not feasible. What you're saying about the value of the questions is kind of the point, though... if one per day doesn't feel like enough, we are hoping that the equivalent of $2.50 per month (the annual subscription is $29.99) feels fair for the benefit of what those conversations bring to your relationship, to your nightly routine. If not, no worries! Just stay on the free tier or delete the app. We're a super small team just trying to do our best to exist and help couples. There is zero intention to be rude, greedy, or anything else. Hope you can see our perspective, thank you!
