Total and Complete Garbage

This app will not connect to the FLIR NVR. The “developers” clearly just rebranded the ancient FLIR Cloud app that was constantly crashing. They simply changed the colors of the old app (that was never updated) from black to light blue. They did nothing to improve it, and not only does the app not connect, it gives you zero insight into the error causing the problem.

Maybe some random developer-of-the-week from Lorex will respond to this review saying thank you for the info and explain how they will consider the info, but nothing will happen. Lorex will still push this worthless app to customers that have spent $1000s on their cameras only to find out they are unusable given the junk software. Don’t buy anything from these people. Quality is the last thing on their minds.

Very difficult app

I collect video for law enforcement city block by block after crimes occur. I’ve used many different apps to review and download video from hundreds of homeowner cellphones. While Lorex makes awesome cameras, their app is one of the two most difficult I’ve ever had to use. I never understood why Lorex makes it so unnecessarily difficult to navigate and playback video. It’s like they don’t even try with their phone app. When something happens and a homeowner needs to quickly review their video, it’s such a painstaking process. God forbid someone is trying to break into a house and the homeowner is spending 5 minutes trying to play back video of a noise they heard.

Black screen- fixed issue

Had no issues after 4 years of using until recently. Now the screens are black with showing the camera names etc, but black video and no recordings are saving.

Update: turns out after researching online and seeing other folks input on the issue, we had to replace the ac adapter that powers the entire unit. Once we replaced it with a new one everything started working like it did before. Still have 4stars because the app could be better with options and navigation using it.
