Ratings and Reviews
Nope
Bad vibe. Three or four screens asking for permission to access to your health data in addition to offering answers to other questions, then up pops the paywall. Sure, 7 day trial, after you pay, which you can cancel, but you can’t see anything at all about the app unless you actually go through the payment process, after they’ve already asked you a whole bunch of questions. Very bad vibe. Not sure why developers haven’t figured this out yet.
Developer Response ,
Hi!
This app has been around about 10 years now, and for almost half of those years has required starting a trial. So what the developers (developer singular - me) have worked out is that this system is the most effective at keeping the app alive and supported.
The more apps offer for free, the more freeloaders there are. There are many people who will never pay for an app or service, and will only ever be a time and money cost, giving nothing back. Cutting those people off right at the start is the most effective way of avoiding wasting time, resources, and money on people who will use the app forever but never give back.
We don't live in a post scarcity utopia. This isn't Star Trek, it's a capitalist world. So as much as I'd like to support free users, that's not good business and as a solo dev it's not sustainable either.
I hope that helps to explain.
