Really cool but…

I really want this to work… but I’m having the same issue as the other reviewer except worse… none of the keys are working… all I get is a box with a question mark on it.

I like the idea of Klingon typeset… but could you make it switch to the English letters equivalent? I haven’t gotten that far to learn the Klingon typeset.. I was hoping to find a keyboard that was just set up so I can work on Duolingo easier

Qapla’! More or less 😎

After some super quick and info-rich replies from the developer, it seems that the problem I was having deals with Unicode mapping & having to share some codepoints with other custom/third party keyboards or Apple system fonts. For instance, the Empire emblem key is assigned to the same location as the  logo at present, so even when ipIqaD keyboard is active, it prioritizes Apple preferences and returns that instead of the emblem.

In short, it’ll probably continue to be an issue in most environments until ipIqaD gets its own dedicated set of codepoints. Which is disappointing, I’ll admit, but it’s not through any fault of the developer. Considering all that, and the great communication and insight that he seemed more than happy to provide, I must give this app 5 stars even though I can’t fully use it at this time. Here’s hoping that the Empire soon prevails and we get our own unicode coordinates.

Cool keyboard, except not all the keys work universally. Some of them return random unicode marks instead of the letter. I contacted the developer so hopefully this is something that can get fixed easily 🤞 looking forward to learning to read/write pIqaD as soon as it does.

Won’t work

Everything is just Unicode question marks. It’s not fixable.
