Fakin grat dude

Literally was trying to learn swift programing with the hopes i could design an app for my specific needs and while this app isn't exactly what i want and im still gunna keep on learning programming, it is 1000x closer and simpler than anything i have come across, im a tactical athlete and my programming is very multi dimensional basic pumpkin spice body builder select workout programs are not for me, this gives me the customizable options i need to fit things to me and my environment. Plus being able to copy and change existing programs is super great and simple. LASTLY I WOULD RATE THE APP LOGO FAKIN ZERO FOR GAY AS AIDS IT NEEDS TO CHAGE TO SOMETHING AS PROFESSIONAL AND GREAT AS THE APP

No Frills Top Notch. Web APP is the difference

Intensity is a little cumbersome at first but that’s where the web app shines. I do all setup on the PC and then leave the app to logging, etc...while in the gym. If you want to use ONLY an app then there are better options. If you’re OK w the web based client then this app is excellent.

Being able to make custom workouts and routines is good for experienced lifters...I’ve never found an app that is good at that and I always make my own in excel. Now with Intensity I can still do that planning work at the comfort of my office desk, home office, or laptop anywhere in the world and it will sync to my phone.

It’s not perfect but it’s free and effective. I wish there was a “copy diary” option for the days you forget to upload your workout and I wish reordering exercises wasn’t so finicky but I can deal with that!

Thanks for the review! I'm always working on trying to improve the performance of the app, but of course the framework has its limitations. If Intensity starts to get more popular, I will definitely be looking at native approaches to drastically improve the performance of the app. I'm glad you enjoy the desktop platform as well. This is in the process of being upgraded so it will be even better in the future.

Copying workouts and sets in your diary is possible by long holding/pressing on an exercise in your diary, then tapping on Copy.

Reset Workouts

This app has the potential to be the best workout planning and tracking app on the market but drops the ball in a couple essential areas. I CANNOT RESET THE DIARY! I went to load a simple deadlift program from the included store to see what it details but came to find out the default settings on the app are just stupid. The app defaulted to having all future workouts already completed even as far in advance as 4 months from now. And there isn’t the ability to clear this out to start over. Also when programming the lifts it asked for my 1rm (great to see people actually focusing around planning weighs and percentages instead of passive tracking thank you btw) in pounds but went to program the lifts in kilos. When I switched units back the app converted the weight up to pounds making this useless. I would love to use the app and maybe subscribe in the future but these two key points are making it unusable to me currently.

It is possible to remove a program from your diary. To do so, go to your diary, then press and hold on an exercise that is part of the program to bring up more options, then tap on Remove Program. I'll add this to the help section in the app for future users.

The program is marked as completed because autocomplete is enabled by default. You can disable this in your settings (To access your settings, open the side menu by tapping the icon in the top left corner, then tap on Settings, and find the "Autocomplete Sets" option and uncheck it), then add the program again and all sets within the program will be marked as incomplete and you can check them off as you go.

The program and the maxes you set while adding a program will be added based on the current units you have set. So if you have your units set as kg then every set in that program will be added in kg. You can change your units in your Settings, and you have several options when you change them. Firstly, it's important to note that every set you add to your diary has a unit associated with it. So it's possible to have some sets in kg and others in lbs even though your Settings are set for lbs for example. When you update your units, you can choose to update your existing sets and make them all the same units. You can also take that a step further and perform a numeric conversion of the weights as well. By default the "Update Existing Sets" and "Convert Weights" options are selected. You can choose to uncheck these options, in which case none of your existing sets will be changed.

Hope that helps and changes your mind on using the app. Would love to get you back. Thanks for taking the time to write the review as well. Feedback is always appreciated. If you want to contact me for more info, you can do so at support@intensityapp.com
