Terrible Update (review update)
App was working fine on my 4S until I updated. Now it freezes and resets picture/signal every few seconds to the point I cannot rely on it.
*Previous review update* I have uninstalled/reinstalled camera and restarted my phone. This seems to have corrected the freezing problem. I would suggest restarting your phone after any updates now even though it's not typically needed for most apps. I am having trouble with finding camera on network but it's only at startup so it is reliable after finally connecting.
Great camera, awful app and s)&@$! customer service
We have owned this monitor since our 16 m old daughter was born. I am great with technology and this camera was a huge pain to set up. Customer service was even worse. I had to jump through hoops just to get them on the phone. Fast forward to now.. Since the apple update MONTHS ago, the alerts have not worked on the app. I contacted their CS dept (what a joke) with no resolution. Their solution was to remotely control the alerts from my PC.. I have a Mac. Their directions were null and void and they provided no alternate solution. There has never been an update for this app and I suspect there never will be. I've contacted CS again but am doubtful I'll receive any type of solution. Without alerts to tel you your baby is making noise, what good is the monitor? Total crap. Extremely dissatisfied and turned off by this company's lack of respect/care for their customers. Don't buy this monitor!!!
My level of frustration is beyond belief.
We've owned this technological marvel for about 7 months now and it has NEVER worked properly. I consider myself an intermediate tech person and can handle setting something like this up. However I've bad no luck with this awful monitor and app. I find myself flicking off the device whenever I do battle with it. Here's my problem. Plug device into wall...check. Plug device into modem...check. Set up device...check. Wow! Everything works...not so fast. Unplug device from modem...check and still works...great! Wait though. Unplug device from wall and painstakingly go back upstairs to my daughters room and remount the device and run the power cord back into it...pain in my $&@. Device turns on, fire up the app and NOTHING! Swear at the device while my wife holds her hands over my daughters ears. Goodnight. So again....awful device, awful app.
