HUUM 4+

The previous version was not pretty, but functional. All of the functions (lights, heater, and timer) worked great. New version is better looking, but wildly laggy, lights take about 2-3 mins to turn on after engaging the switch on app, the timer doesn’t work leaving me unable to take my daily morning sauna unless I want to get up an hour early to go downstairs and manually turn on the sauna. This should be embarrassing for Huum. Is there no pre release testing, I mean come on!! Support just told me they were aware of all the bugs, but no timeframe to fix…. No way to return to previous version…. I would not buy a Huum if you need WiFi functionality.

Looking at the other comments, it seems like I dodged a bullet! My sauna and app are working fine and I love the remote control. My Wi-Fi sometimes loses connection and I push the button or it simply gets restored.

Just saw there is a new version of the app coming out that seems to remove the features that I count on. I hope I’m not forced to update. Spent way too much money on this for an update to kill it. Fingers crossed. HUUM dev, please don’t kill the remote start capability…that flexibility is key for my experience.

I really want to like this app. But for a $1500 controller, I should’ve just bought the non-WiFi version. The controller constantly drops WiFi (I have a mesh system and very strong signal at the sauna). The app errors out about 70% of the time I use it. When I try and control the sauna and/or lights via the app, there’s a 2-3 minute lag between the action I take and when it happens (if it happens to be the 30% time that it actually works). As a software designer/developer, I have a lot of empathy for bugs and issues.. it happens. But this app and controller combination is awful. Don’t waste your money.
