Features
• iOS 18 Widgets Support: To add a widget, tap and hold your home screen, select Edit from the top left corner, then tap Add Widget and search for Grid Connect. Choose a widget type (Shortcuts or Tap-to-Run) and add it to your screen. For Tap-to-Run widgets, press and hold the widget after adding it, then manually select up to six scenes.
• Precondition Logic for Scenes and Automation: Added a new feature allowing preconditions for more advanced automation configurations.
• Device Status Display: Added device status display in the list view, which is accessible via the "+" icon on the room bar then select “list/grid” to toggle between list and grid view.
• Hide/Show Device: Accessible via the "+" icon on the room bar then device sequence.
• Expanded Language Support: Added an app language setup option under settings for easier customization.

Ratings and Reviews
Needs some improvements
To be fair, I am rating 4 stars, because the Grid Connect system is reliable and solid.
Major plus points:
1. Units retain last setting (on/off/dimmer) when resuming from power failure.
2. Seamlessly fails over to allow direct operation of the units via Bluetooth if the Wi-Fi network fails.
3. Smart plugs are small and can fit side by side in distro’s and power boards.
Major thumbs down points:
1. No iOS shortcut integration
2. No HomeKit support (obviously)
3. Grid Connect app has a disgusting UI - what in the world were they thinking.
4. App has small on buttons - too easy to open up the unit screen rather than quickly toggle appliances.
5. No way to group units to see collective power usage.
6. No way to see cumulative power usage - only historical graphs.
For the price and ease of setup, the pros outweigh the cons, but I wouldn’t use these for a smart home (HomeKit is so, so much better). They make great energy meters and scheduled timer switches though.
One device worked and app missing key button.
I got one device connected. The second device didn’t and I tried AP mode on the iPhone but the “Light is flashing slowly” button is missing. This app really could use some improvements and the watch app is pretty terrible.
Connects anything but ARLEC devices
I specifically purchased ARLEC DC ceiling fans to connect to our home, have never been able to pair them. Recently tried some other brand wifi globes and connected straight away to this app. Purchased ARLEC down lights and same issue, no connecting even after trying every trouble shoot.
