Excellent app! Dumpy level user’s friend.
I’m an archaeologist and was looking for something to calculate elevations while using a dumpy level on site. This is an excellent app and speeds up calculating so I can get on to other work faster. I’ve only bought the one year, but will definitely pay for a lifetime subscription when it ends. $35 is pricey for an app, but it works and that’s worth it over years of excavation.

Don’t buy this app
Don’t waste your money especially if your actually needing a little help with stair stringers there numbers look good but never come out to the correct number of going (steps) nor does the actual stringer length come to what it should be it’ll be with in a inch and two extra steps every time used it 3 times to see was it me and my guys or the app. And it’s def the app again don’t waste your time or money

Hi wiredup85, we’re sorry you’ve had trouble with our stair stringer calculations and disappointed you didn’t contact our support team first—we’re here to help. Our app has been around for years with tens of thousands of happy users worldwide, and it relies on extremely precise decimal calculations in millimetres. So, an inch or two is quite a material discrepancy in the calculations. For context, all calculations in the back end occur to an accuracy greater than 0.0000000000039 of an inch before rounding to what you see, which may be 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, or 1/64 of an inch depending on your settings. We take your assertion that the measurements are out by an inch or two very seriously. This is the first time we’ve encountered such a report, so it’s possible you’re using a different construction approach that the app isn’t currently set up for. We’re open to improving the app and adding alternative methods as needed, but we haven’t received any similar feedback recently. Please email us at support@chippy.tools with your details so we can investigate further and ensure you get the best results. We appreciate the chance to help.
