Essential tool for safety

I am by no means a high tech guy but I am very concerned about safety for me and my family. Initially, I was skeptical about using the GeoSure system but I found it easy to use and the information it provides is critical to any travel plans or assessing the situation in my current environment. No one should be without this powerful safety tool!

Not Accurate

This app is a great idea, however there isn’t much information that we don’t already know. The app is slow. The maps are very slow to load & does not allow the user to zoom in to a specific area like the location of a hotel. I checked the accuracy by looking at the cities in which I am very familiar. The app gave an overall score for a general area. It doesn’t show unsafe spots in the city. For example, I live in one of the most dangerous cities in the US. The app shows the safer areas as having the same score as the areas with the highest crime rate in the country. For this reason, I feel this app needs significant improvement.

Weak reflection of on-the-ground realities?

GeoSure says Rome (Italy) is a safer city than Prague (Czechia). I’ve lived in Prague and have been pick-pocketed in Rome and can tell you I feel much safer in Prague. GeoSure says S.F. is safer than Paris, France. I don’t hold my wallet close to me when walking streets of Paris whereas I do in S.F. ... Anchorage, Alaska, where I live, rates an 80 on women’s safety. That’s true for parts of Alaska, which has an abominable rate of sexual assault against women and children. But the state’s largest city is better than the state as a whole (though not anywhere near where we would like it). ... So my question is — what data underlie the GeoSure metrics? How reliable are they?

Our data provide an objective measure of hyper-local safety reflecting safety conditions including forms of violence, property loss, health factors, basic freedoms, and more. These scores are generated through a combination of big data, objective reporting sources, AI, on the ground reporting, and geospatial intelligence, all validated using statistical algorithms.
