Good backup, but the app crashes so much

So, when it decides to work, it’s really slick. However... The app crashes 100% of the time I use it. I can usually just reload it and it’s fine, but the more stuff I put on the Cobra2, the less reliable the EmtecConnect app becomes. I’ve read all the FAQs, cleared the cache, etc. Still kind of janky, and I’m not 100% sure I’ll be able to transfer my files back to my iPhone... But at least they are backed up, right?

App disconnect

I’ve been using this device for a few years now and it’s been a lifesaver! However, recently, there is a constant disconnect with this. I will typically use this to offload pictures and documents from my phone and load them onto my laptop, however, I recently attempted to offload some holiday pictures and the app finds the device initiall but when I get ready to past the pics onto the device, it states that it’s connected but there’s 0 memory on the device like there is nothing there. Even thought the app just recognized it with current correct data on it. Is this a bug or glitch that just needs a update? I will try a few more times then maybe it’s time to purchase a new one?

Works well for backup

But you should also know that you MUST shut down the app after you’ve used it! I did not, and 2 and a half hours later found my phone drained of power, and the battery also became very hot! Note that this is a brand new iPhone 11, and the battery is at 100% usability.
Once I noticed that the app was still open, I closed it down and the phone cooled off. I looked at the battery life for that day up until then, of the 80% power consumed, 59% was the app! (I had unplugged the actual device, so that had nothing to do with it)
