Pros & cons

It becomes necessary to have a unifying up for all the travel if you’re a road warrior or simply travel often for work.

After having the Delta app glitch four times in a month and a half where it double charged me for the same flight on the same day at the same hour, for the same price, I decided it was time to no longer use the Delta app. Egencia (Anglicized name for the Latin/Spanish word, Agencia), looks to be a more reliable alternative. Note: I haven’t used the App yet.

Having interfaced with the desktop version, frequently, it would be greatly appreciated for those of us that do our expense reporting 1 x month, to have the option of listing our expenses with the actual charges. My expense report only displays cc charge, date and party paid. Nothing about which trip, what state, what customer I was visiting.

Please come up with a way to view expenses on Egencia itemized by date with the actual charge so I can spend less time on my expense report. Thanks!

Too many mistakes

Used Egencia app for a couple years. Hoped they’d fix the errors. I receive conflicting notices from Egencia and the airlines. For example, my flight is delayed today. I’m at the gate and see the real-time changes. Egencia sends me a message saying my flight time changed and is back to the original time. If I wasn’t sitting at the gate and didn’t know there is still a 40 minute delay, the Egencia notice would have caused me to panic a bit and leave the restaurant, lounge, etc earlier than necessary.

I awarded 3 stars since Egencia is a good place to keep all my travel arrangements (flight, hotel, rental car, etc) in one location. Otherwise, I haven’t found the hotel prices to be less than competitors or direct booking with hotels. Since I’m forced to use Egencia for work, I’m disappointed I have to miss out on staying at nicer hotels because they aren’t listed in the app. I go through special approval, which is a hassle, to stay at some Hilton hotels that give a less expensive rate when I book directly through the hotel than when I book with Egencia.

Overall, I’d love to see this app and website improved. Here’s hoping!

Waste of time!

Use the website instead. I tried booking a flight on here and it said it was not available or overbooked, but then actually double-booked me. My controller had to figure out which one to decline. I could only see one reservation in the app but then looked online next day and there it was. Beside this Egencia is a horrible service. They give 120 rate options for hotel. Many at top of the list don’t have loyalty points so you have to be careful if you are a frequent traveler. Several times I booked the “included loyalty points” option but then never received my points or status credit. I called both hotel and Egencia and they blamed it on me, that I chose the wrong rate (out of the 120 options provided). I’m not a member of AARP, why does the app give me those options?? The app overall has had 0 value to me. On top of taking away loyalty points they charge exorbitant rates and commissions for every reservation. Travel agencies are outdated. Why would I pay someone to do something I can easily do myself? Egencia/Expedia = making traveling miserable again
