Ratings and Reviews
Not as good as it used to be
When I first downloaded the app, it advertised that you could save up to $9 a month. There were clear check in targets that you had to meet to earn certain rewards. That changed. Gas rewards are now more about being at the store on the right day, rather than something you can earn and redeem on your own schedule. Product coupons are always the same, and not that great. The good news for my local CITGO is that I will still shop there. I just won’t be checking in on the app as frequently.
App needs a button that DELETES
This app is wonderful for counting and knowing how many times you visited a particular Citgo. It’s awesome for giving deals on gasoline, however the coupons for gasoline should come at all times during the month. If you are a Citgo Customer who shops at Citgo 5-7 days a week, the other rewards are not relevant. I don’t drink coffee, and the soda fountain machine belongs to Subway and therefore all those coupons need to be deleted because they are not of any use to me.
If you could use those coupons on a 20 oz. bottled drink, that would work as well.
I’m shocked I haven’t won gasoline for a year as many times as I visit the store. But I haven’t. I can only “log in “ every 2 hours and I’m there much more than I can log in.
False savings
I deliver for a living so when I recently found out about this app it was a little relief knowing I could lower my gas expense and increase my income. Tuesdays are always the most savings. Just this past Tuesday I pull up to my local Citgo, the app tells me I’m saving 9¢ which should’ve been 11¢ while combining the Citgo pay app. It only gave me 5¢ which I can get on any other day with the Citgo pay app. I figured it was a glitch. So I cancel and retry, same thing. I then cancel and retry at a different pump. Still 5¢. Then I apparently tried too many times that it would not even let me use the Citgo pay app for another 24 hours. So then all I could do was type in my loyalty number which only gave me 3¢. I wouldn’t have even wasted my time to go to this station had I known it wasn’t going to give me the 9¢ that it told me in the club Citgo app. Really annoying, upsetting and inconsistent. Don’t lie to people.
