Fantastic app
I really like this app. It works as intended and it does it flawlessly. I have 2 different G Shocks synced up to this app, one of them has the ability to send pushed notifications, etc. It works good no disconnecting issues whatsoever. The other one only connects to the phone to sync up the time, it does this in the background or by command. Either way I have never had an issue.
Another good thing is it sends the data over to apple health and with one of the latest updates it now also sends it to apple fitness which means you can close your workout circle without having to wear your Apple Watch all the time (which I love being able to take a rest from it - too many notifications for every single thing)
Unpleased with the value of the watch/app combo.
This watch will NOT stay connected via Bluetooth, I have to manually reconnect it every time I need the two connected. My $15 speaker stays connected better than the $300+ watch. The app crashes on first open, every time. It will usually work with a second try though. The app doesn’t support accessibility options like font size. So for us nerds with crappy eyes, we have to change those settings in “General” settings to see the full text of an update or user agreement. Needs custom watch face option, not a pre set option. Customer service is good when I have a problem, but they have some real user-ability and developer disconnects. The developers are clearly not fitness minded the fitness stats are not organized very well. Take to many screen clicks to get to things like max./min. heart rate. Doesn’t seem to have an alert option for if your O2 levels get to low, or HR goes to high/low. Would not purchase again.
Why the negative reviews?
I really expected a buggy app based on reviews, but it works exactly as described. Push a button on the watch to connect, make settings changes in the app, send the settings to the watch. Voila! Automatic time synchronization works if your phone is nearby, but you can also sync time (and location though…) to the phone with quick push of another button. Takes 5-10 seconds, has worked for me every single time. Syncing 2 watches.
