Brightspeed WiFi 4+

I had 40 mbps and it would cut out periodically. I upgraded to the 1 gig and have had no issues. I even get service out in my new steel sided garage.

This app is okay when it works. The devices connected to my network disappear from the network map even though they are still connected to the network. I have a printer that isn’t showing up but prints just fine over the network. I went from 13 devices connected to 4 in the blink of an eye. Turned off a TV and lost 9 devices off the network map. All appear to still be connected to the actual network. They just don’t show on the network map. Also there doesn’t appear to be anyway to edit devices icons. I have 2 TVs that show up as media devices. Would like to see the network map to distinguish between devices connected by WiFi and Ethernet. These are small issues but I would expect the app to work better.

The app itself is pretty user friendly. I like the idea of setting up rooms and people. However, I wish there was a way to give a device a nickname because I do not know what a3efshdhuenk device is and have to unplug things to figure it out. Also, the idea of setting time limits for kids is awesome except it’s not reliable. Yesterday at 9:45 the internet was paused even though the cutoff was set for 11:30. And the resume was set for 6:00. However, it’s 7:45 and still says paused. So I just disabled that and will manually turn on and off which is a nice feature. As others said the app is very delayed in showing a device connected to the network and when it disconnects. Nice but not reliable.
