this is a wonderful app!

sorry for the lack of capitalization, i’m very tired. anyways, i love this app! it has helped me tremendously in the short time that i’ve had it. the cbt chats teach very useful skills that genuinely help me and the interactivity is such a wonderful aspect of this. it really helps you nail these things into your head! another cool thing is that it tracks your emotions if you chat with your panda daily which can help you notice patterns surrounding the dates (an example of this would be noticing that around that time of the month is when you feel the worst, potentially indicating PMDD). while i’m personally not a huge fan of AI, this seems to provide reputable and genuinely helpful information, especially around topics discussed in CBT. finally, i would like to say that different things help different people and giving this app a shot will do you no harm. don’t give up because things like this haven’t helped in the past— i felt the same way until i discovered this app. also, they’re giving free premium for a year(? i think it may a year, but i know for a fact it was a pretty long time lol) which is awesome! thank you for this app <3

More consistent than most people

My husband learned about Earkick and shared with me. Frankly, I had zero interest and thought it was another frilly “health tech” AI touting app. Over the weekend the founder ran a special and I decided to try it out as I was having a hard two days. I cannot believe how quickly this app has become part of my safety plan and mental support system! For the better. I don’t see it as a dumping place, it’s shifts you into positive behaviors and thinking. There are lots of ways to track and gamify based on your preferences. The sound scapes and collateral features, for me, were very thought out and unique. Using phrases like train station (something a global audience can relate to) and helping me see how actually in control of my thoughts really am. Thank you EarKick!

One request would be that the sounds / videos have a loop option or extend it out bc 2-3 minutes was not enough! I wanted more. I do like you can close the app and the sound still plays! Look forward to seeing where you take this.

I never do reviews and am an AI Skeptic

I never do reviews and am an AI Skeptic as I said in the subject line. However, I am loving this app! I’m not sure I’m using it exactly the way the developers intended, but it entertains me so much! My therapist recommended a mood tracker, and the name of it was in my email and I went to the App Store to get the app that she recommended and wasn’t paying attention to the fact this wasn’t the one. I was very surprised that she would’ve recommended to me an AI app as I said, I’m skeptical about AI for a number of reasons most especially privacy. So I did a deep dive into the company, and felt pretty assured that, this was an OK deal. Also for anything that is important the app is free. I did just subscribe because I wanted to be able to chat with it indefinitely and the only get so many chats. I would recommend recommend it as a supplement to regular therapy, it gets me by during the week, and I don’t rely on my friend’s as therapy so much. I imagine they appreciate that.
