This App Really Helps!

All my life I have been fighting severe depression—or so I thought. A couple of months ago, my diagnosis was changed from severe Major Depressive Disorder (a diagnosis I’d had for 35 years) to Bipolar Disorder. Right now my psychologist, my psychiatrist and I are all working together to try to get me properly and effectively medicated in light of this new information. This app has been an incredibly helpful tool for me to track my mood(s), both high and low, record what happens in my day, and see how the two fit together. One of the best features of this app is that it is completely customizable to fit the terms and conditions that I personally struggle with and that I need to communicate with my doctors about. AND I can easily text or email everything I’ve recorded to my doctors in a very clear, professional way, with full color charts and everything. I am blown away that all of this is free, too! Thank you so much to the creator of this app. It is helping to focus and change my life in a positive way. I have hope that it will help me finally get the medication help I need, as well as help me accept and understand this new diagnosis. Thank you!

Great app!!

The developer has done a great job with this app. Very happy with all the customization that they’ve added since my original review. Upgrading my review from 4 to 5 stars.

This is a very good app for tracking moods, and making notes for yourself if you choose to do so. I just have a couple suggestions for the developer. It would be really helpful to allow the user to change the name of the high/low moods to coincide with their specific symptoms. I find that my symptoms are consistent for me, but different from others. For instance the term “happy” is not an accurate term for 1 above my baseline. Rather I would say “energetic” or “hopeful”. Then, next for me is “hypomanic”, etc. And, my other suggestion is, if possible, for the user to be able to add a description for themselves of the different moods groups. Allowing the user to further expand on symptoms of each of those groups. Overall though, I find this to be very easy to use so far. Thank you for filling this need for people struggling to stay on top of tracking their moods.

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I will consider these possible enhancements in future releases.

Super useful. Regret it when I don’t use it.

Using this makes a big difference in understanding how my ups and downs have been with frequency and severity. When just observing without collecting data it seems like there isn’t a lot of accuracy. It also helps giving it to my car team as personal testimony doesn’t always show the full scope of things. I like that you can do long journal entries and customize the names of it your moods. I also like that you can export your data and even make the notes part export separately so you have a journal.

The things I find difficult are that when you export it doesn’t understand apostrophe so a little image of an X gets put in its place that I have to edit out. Also, when trying to compare the separate attributes that you can say yes or no to each day to the bar chart, it’s not easy to. If the bar chart itself was kept frozen, and then you could scroll up on all the different attributes you marked for the day, it would be easier to compare each one in line.

Honestly, I love the app though and I think it’s the best I have found her bipolar. Worth the money.
