Stay cool and updated. Via the app, you can manage over-the-air updates at the times that suit you best.

Disappointing

It is showing negative energy used on all trips (the magnitude is right). The manual search is worse than in the app I use for the XC40. It goes to a website and asks me what region I am in! Does it not know this? The manual then shows information for the Ultra when, sadly, I only have a Plus. Is it not possible to design filters for the manual so that it shows features specific to the car purchased? The manual does need some work - preferably with a detailed contents page (ditto the Volvo app for XC40) - as many operations are not intuitive. I look forward to an improved version!

Limited capabilities

This is my third electric vehicle. I currently have a Tesla Model 3 and this Volvo EX30. The Tesla app is light years ahead of the Volvo app.

The Volvo app struggles to connect to the vehicle and states the “Vehicle is currently in use”, no it’s not. It’s sitting in my driveway and I’m trying to get in!

When you can get the app to connect, what you can do is very limited. Climate is either On or Off. you can’t set the temperature, you can’t turn on the heated seats, you can’t turn on the heated steering wheel and you can’t open the windows. It doesn’t even have a defrost function, only climate on or off! What temperature is it setting the car to and why does it take half an hour to get the temperature up to 22C? The Tesla takes less than 5 minutes when it’s frozen outside!

Please always remember to take the keycard with you as if you’re solely relying on your phone as a key, like I do with my Tesla, you’ll be left stranded!

What a disappointment as the car is great! Much better than the Tesla! Wish I could say the same for the app!

Disappointing

This app is such a disappointment, the only thing it was good for was defrosting a frozen car but since the latest release that doesn’t work either. All I see now is error messages “could not turn on climate”, “could not unlock the car”, “could not load timer”. The car is connected to the internet because the app can tell me it’s charging and occasionally tells me the cabin temperature too but it just can’t do basic functions. These functions worked in the previous release of the app and only stopped working a week ago.
