Description
Viz has been gracing British newsagents' shelves since 1979. Its irreverent mix of
bad language, childish cartoons and sharp satire has seen its creators hauled
over the coals by the United Nations, questioned by Scotland Yard's anti-terrorist
branch and exhibited in the Tate Gallery. Viz's comic characters, such as the Fat
Slags, Sid the Sexist, and Roger Mellie the foul-mouthed Man on the Telly, as well
as its hugely popular Top Tips and Profanisaurus sections, are firmly established
as national institutions, just like Broadmoor Hospital for the Criminally Insane.

Ratings and Reviews
Update to: Latest update was a backward step
All the faults listed below have now been rectified. Well done developers!
I shall leave the original review up for another week or so and then delete the comments below.
Previously one had access to all the previous editions. Yesterday when I opened the app only a few from 2018 were available. The ones I had previously bought had disappeared! Also, some of the features are blurred when you try to magnify them. E.g. Sid the Sexist was almost unreadable. One advantage of the app was that the content could be made readable for people with short sight. Unfortunately that is no longer possible in some cases. Update The lost editions have reappeared but most cartoons cannot be magnified without the text becoming unreadable and the drawings blurred.
Really clunky - spoils the experience
Not a pleasure to use at all. Constantly requires fresh logins and often seems to suggest that purchases are needed even when a subscription is in place. Can’t seem to store a whole magazine for reading later either.
Love Viz, app is average
I wanted a digital subscription & have been using the app for 18 months now. It has improved, albeit from a very poor start where access was denied despite paying for a year. Since renewal the service has been uninterrupted.
Overall the navigation is okay, but moving from one magazine to another is not as smooth as it should be. Remembering which page you have reached in previous unfinished issues would be a vast improvement, as would syncing from iPad to iPhone. So one star withheld due to functionality, but the content is as good as ever.
