Great

This is a brilliant app, I usually control my tv frommy phone but its in repairs, and this app on the mac worked perfectly and instantly found my tv, along with half the TV's up my street! I'm able to conotrol the TV from anywhere and it genuinely works better than my remote controller. I would suggest maybe putting a back button on the controller but to be honest its a perfect app the way it is, and i recommend getting this if you have any issues with your controller

Very good - but a bit buggy

Most of the key features work well and the app connects quickly/reliably and is very responsive. While the design looks a bit basic compared to similar app that look like ‘real remotes’, those other apps actually waste a pile of screen real estate and make the buttons harder to find/press. Also, others I’ve tried have not connected to my TV as quickly/reliably. Also, the Apple Watch app works well, which I can’t say for the others I’ve tried (although some had better features like changing the volume with the Digital Crown) - but reliability is paramount for quick Apple Watch interactions.

However, widgets don’t work for me and every time I open the remote, the same pop up dialogue box pops up asking me to gain permission from the TV (even though I have already done this). It usually goes away on its own quite quickly, but it’s annoying. Without these bugs it would be 5 stars.

Also, it would be great is the app launcher, keyboard, and source selection were available on Samsung TVs. Also 2, my Samsung Frame TV has a two step on/off process: off - art mode - on, which doesn’t work correctly with this app.

Really impressed can contorl my samsung Qled 65" tv from my MACBOOK. It has helped so much so i dont have to stop doing work i can just quickly use the remote straight from my computer. Really impressed why cant tv manufactures bring out little apps like this. One thing i would like to see options for custom remote skins. aka a samsung remote looks like the samsung remote. Would help people with finding buttons on the app as it would be identicle to their remote.
